We are working on extension and remodelling a of single-family rural complex of buildings in Barlath, Ireland. The building is located in a beautiful setting, few kilometers away from nearby villages.  The site sits within protected zone, although the building itself is not listed. As such, it is protected and the development must be designed with respect for the traditional countryside of Ireland.

The existing house will be renovated, a new roof structure will be laid. The barn adjacent to the house will be demolished and a new barn will be built in its location, of exactly the same size but in a modern construction. It will house utility rooms, an office and a garage.

The biggest change is the construction of a new part of the house in the form of a modern barn, connected via two storey link with the existing house. The new part will include a living room with huge windows overlooking the surrounding hills and three bedrooms for the family with children.

Latest news for this development (February 2022): we have received full plans approval.
