This bungalow was built in Cambridge for a local housing association. The contract included a design of the house adapted to the needs of a disabled person living permanently with a carrer.
The house is characterized by full availability of all rooms, 1m wode doors, no thresholds, spacious main bedroom with enough space for a hospital type bed, a hoist with a track from the bed to the bathroom. The kitchen furniture is designed for the wheelchair user. The front drive is big enough to take a three point turn on the site and safely exit onto the street.
The whole property is finished with natural materials. Simple, functional design and very easy to maintain and operate.

The project was carried out in cooperation with architectural practice Bland, Brown and Cole, Cambridge.
